Restoration of the North Baths, Wick

When I was young! and Do you remember when!
This week these words have been repeated often.

The "Friends of the North Baths" have stirred many memories near and far away, with the start of our restoration work on the North Baths.

This iconic focal point of Wick was first opened in 1904 with funding from the local community and these Baths haven't been attended to since 2014. The newly formed "Friends of the North Baths" are intending to restore the North Baths for future generations to build their own memories.

We would be very grateful for any donations to help fund this restoration, this year we're emptying the baths, white washing and repairing barriers, with future plans to repair sea walls and create information panels.

This past year has increased our appreciation of the richness of our local environment and heritage, lockdowns have made us grateful for our open spaces to maintain our wellbeing mentally and physically.

Wick and Caithness are such generous folk, we are grateful for the volunteers, local businesses and all the community who support us with this effort.
