Restoration after devastating fire for Ray Piper.

Hello,

My name is Aubrey and on Sunday, September 8th an explosion happened right in my family’s own yard. My mother, Jessie, was outside when she heard a loud “boom” and turned to see that Ray Piper’s house boat on fire. (Ray is my step-dad, Brent’s father).

My mom, who just received hip surgery a couple months ago, ran down the stairs of their house to go save Ray as she saw him stumbling out of the houseboat with severe burns to his hands and burns on his face.

My step-dad, Brent, came down to assist as neighbors called 911 as they saw flames emerging from every direction.

Shortly before first responders arrived, their barn caught fire. Everything is a total loss.

Why I am asking for help:

For anyone who knows Ray, he is a musical man. He plays almost any instrument you can think of. You can often see him playing/singing at local bars or sitting around the fire strumming along on guitar. Ray is also the owner of the party barge in Tichigan, WI. Ray has been living in his beautiful houseboat behind my mom and Brent’s barn. Ray and his son, Brent, built the houseboat a couple years ago for the goal of Ray one day floating down the Mississippi River, playing music and fishing whenever he wanted. But, now this houseboat and all his instruments are gone. Ray also enjoys fishing and kayaking, but he unfortunately lost all of his fishing gear in the fire as well. I want to be able to replace all of this for him.
