In an effort to raise money for our 3rd year of resisterhoodLA, we're starting a crowdfunding campaign to raise $6,000 for 6 high-impact mission-driven volunteer events, and hosting a top secret fundraising show with our friends campfireball.

When I started resisterhoodLA  in 2016, I had no idea what it would become. But as I look towards 2020, my vision is clear. (...Get it?)

We’ll be heavily focused on one cause: homelessness. By concentrating on one major issue, it will give our volunteers a more comprehensive understanding and equip them to participate in real, effective solutions.

We’ll be leaning into what we do best: thoughtfully curated events that connect and serve the community. We’ll focus on creating diverse, inclusive spaces accessible to everyone. The continued challenge here, of course, is the procurement of space.

Finally, we’ll explore the connection between of art + activism. Many of our volunteers are creatives: artists, filmmakers, actors and designers. How can we combine the emotionally moving power of the arts with the strategic planning of activism necessary to bring about social change?
