We are a group of Barcelona residents who have united to fight the crime in the city with a end goal of having a safer city. The long term goal is to have the law changed in favour of the victims and have this law fully used by police whilst pushing to have a higher police presence on the streets. We will create an official association to help move the group forward and have credibility. Here is a summary of the actions we need funding for

1) Patrols in BCN : We will patrol the city in a passive peaceful manner to prevent robberies. We will provide 5000 info leaflets to the public along with a whistle they can use to prevent attacks to themselves and others. The group aims to be able to provide public transport tickets to the members.

2) Create an official association : We need funding to create and maintain an association & also pay an accountant to audit the accounts. Also there will be a need to print documents for the association and its members

3) Protest/Flash Mob : We will organise a protest in BCN so will need to pay for the application on the materials needed for example the posters and placards that will carry our message.

4) Website : We have a website created but we must pay yearly to register the domain and also a yearly"Domain Hosting" fee

5) Materials :  We will need to purchase materials for various events for example Raffle tickets, Badges, Stationary , Cables etc.

At approx 10am on Friday 16th Aug the Facebook group "ROAR" was closed down by Facebook. The group admins have contacted Facebook for an explanation but so far have not received a reply. As it not clear why the group has been closed we ask members not to speculate and name individuals or organisations that may be responsible. The ROAR team will try their best to have the website reinstated ASAP but as this is unlikely a new page has been created (link below) on behalf of all the ROAR team we would like to thank all our followers across the various groups for the support . We will continue to work as before to make this a safer city.

This update is long past due, but we wanted to provide an update to all of our generous donors of our activities this summer. We are in the final stages of creating an association. We have submitted the application and we have our fingers crossed we get a positive outcome very soon. We have also printed 1,000 large posters to be hung in businesses that are most impacted by the insecurity around the city. This will help bring awareness and reinforce the problems we all face as business owners, residents and visitors. In addition, we have purchased 1,000 whistles to be used along with informative flyers warning of these same problems. You will start to see some of these teams in the hotspots working with visitors and residents alike to bring awareness and have a positive impact on robberies. Lastly, we have launched our new website The page is to bring awareness and to provide information to victims who are robbed. We are working towards getting this page translated into many more languages. Thank you all again for your generosity and please have a wonderful summer.
