My name is George Herrera, and I am a servant of God with a heart dedicated to His children.

Throughout my life, I’ve faced more than my share of health challenges, but even in my hardest moments, God has given me a mission that keeps me moving forward: to protect and uplift the children living in the dump communities of Guatemala.

These precious children grow up surrounded by mountains of trash, toxic smoke, and constant danger. Many have no access to clean water, food, medical care, safety, or even the simple hope of a better tomorrow. No child should have to survive in conditions like these.

Our foundation works inside these dump communities to reach children in crisis—children who are abandoned, abused, or living in life-threatening conditions. When we find a child in danger, we step in immediately.

My heart breaks for them, and I feel a deep calling to rescue them from the suffering that surrounds them.

By God’s grace, we have already rescued 201 children, providing them with shelter, nourishing food, clean water, clothing, education, and most importantly, the life-changing Word of God.

One story that stays with me is of a young boy we found who had been horrifically abused and burned. We brought him to Mexico for reconstructive surgery, and through God’s mercy and loving care, he has healed both physically and spiritually. Today, he serves joyfully as a pastor’s helper—proof that even the deepest pain can be transformed into purpose.
