ReScience Africa: Save Our Science Class

Help Us Rebuild Science classrooms in Africa – One School at a Time.

As a chemist, entrepreneur, 3rd generation Briton with Nigerian roots and a passion for creating access to quality science education. I’m committed to stewardship as a strategy. Leaving people, places and things better than we found them.

Through ReScience Africa, we are on a mission to renovate neglected, or poorly equipped science classrooms in public schools across Nigeria — our starting project is EGBA ODEDA SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL in Ogun State

Right now, thousands of children in Nigeria are learning science without any equipment, or even properly fitted tables. Some have never seen a microscope in person.

We want to make learning as immersive, fun and accessible as possible

The Problem

In many rural Nigerian schools:

• Classroom Lab spaces are unusable due to crumbling infrastructure.
• Students are taught practical science theoretically — using chalk and blackboards. (So static and boring)
• Many young people aren’t able to see the true potential & beauty of pursuing STEM careers because they’ve never had a real hands-on lab experience.

❤️ Our Solution

ReScience Africa works hand-in-hand with local schools, builders, and science educators to:

✅ Renovate science classroom facilities
✅ Supply safe, modern lab equipment
✅ Train teachers on best practices in practical science
✅ Donate Revision Books & Exam Papers
✅ Inspire students through hands-on experiments and STEM workshops

Our pilot project will begin in a public secondary school in Ogun State (Nigeria), where over 200 students share a disfigured lab space with no running water or working equipment.

❤️ Our Goal

We are raising £5,000 initially to:

• Rebuild the physical lab spaces & classrooms x 4
• Install basic lab infrastructure (sinks, counters, gas lines, fix windows)
• Provide Books, Stationary, Lab equipment and lab coats
• Cover shipping costs of literature donations from the UK to Nigeria

Every pound you give helps us buy essential equipment, pay local workers, and get this lab up and running.

❤️ Why It Matters

This isn’t just about science. It’s about restoring dignity to students who deserve the same quality education as any child in the Western World.

It’s about believing in African talent — and giving them the tools to solve future forward challenges.

How You Can Help:

1. Donate what you can — every £1/$1/€1 contribution counts.

2. Share this campaign with your networks.

3. Sponsor a science kit or co-brand a lab bench in honor of your company or family.

Together, we can save our science class — and reignite the spark of possibility in every child we reach.
