El 24 de junio de 2026, un terremoto devastó a Venezuela. Una semana después, aún hay réplicas, y siguen apareciendo personas con vida y víctimas entre los escombros. Han llegado brigadas internacionales y grupos locales están haciendo lo que pueden, pero no dan abasto. Los rescatistas en zona 0 que tienen décadas de experiencia dicen que nunca habían visto este nivel de devastación.

¿Cuál es la situación ahora?

En este momento, se necesitan más rescatistas en la zona, y es urgente; cada hora cuenta.

¿Quiénes son los equipos de rescate?

Afortunadamente hemos dado con un grupo de ángeles, más conocidos como “Topos”. Ellos son rescatistas voluntarios de Argentina, Chile, México, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú y Brasil que son expertos en rescate en estructuras colapsadas, habiendo atendido tragedias en Japón, México, Chile, Turquía, Ecuador, Indonesia, entre muchos otros países. Estas personas están arriesgando su vida por buscar gente entre los escombros en un país que no es el suyo. Dejan su trabajo, su familia y sus casas por la voluntad de servir y ayudar a quienes más lo necesitan.

Este grupo de rescatistas voluntarios no cobra un centavo por ir a ayudar en Venezuela. Duermen en el piso, en carpas, con lo que llevan puesto. Lo único que piden es que alguien les pague el pasaje para llegar a La Guaira, les consiga un techo, transporte a la zona 0 y algo de comer mientras trabajan.

¿Quiénes somos nosotros y cómo estamos ayudando?

Hasta hoy, hemos logrado mandar ocho grupos de rescatistas; 17 ya están en terreno, y más van llegando, gracias a una red de personas que se organizó de un día para otro. Gestionamos permisos de entrada y movilidad en Venezuela, compramos pasajes y organizamos la logística de transporte, comida y refugio para nuestros Topos. Todo esto ha sido posible gracias a familiares, amigos y voluntarios dentro de Venezuela que, sin recibir ni un centavo para ellos mismos, están recogiendo rescatistas en los aeropuertos, consiguiendo vehículos, montando campamentos, llevando comida, carpas, Starlinks y todo lo que haga falta para que los equipos puedan concentrarse en salvar vidas.

Queremos dejar algo muy claro

Nosotros no somos una ONG, no recibimos un salario, no cobramos comisiones, gastos administrativos ni nada por el estilo. Somos simplemente un grupo de personas que decidió hacer todo lo que estuviera a su alcance para ayudar. Cada centavo que se recaude en esta campaña irá directamente a la respuesta humanitaria en Venezuela, ya sea para traer más equipos de rescatistas, comprar medicamentos, alimentos, insumos o apoyar las siguientes fases de la emergencia. Nuestra única prioridad es que esos recursos lleguen íntegramente a quienes los necesitan.

¿En qué se convierte tu donación?

Esta campaña va a financiar tres fases de la respuesta en Venezuela:

Fase 1 - Rescate (la prioridad en este momento)

Pasajes aéreos y traslados terrestres para que más equipos de Topos lleguen a la zona cero. La alimentación y su refugio lo hemos podido coordinar con ayuda de locales. Es urgente que más Topos lleguen a buscar entre los escombros a sobrevivientes y a recuperar a quienes perdieron la vida, para que sus familias puedan despedirse con dignidad.

Fase 2 - Insumos críticos

Venezuela no tiene una red de seguros ni ahorros que sostenga a las familias afectadas. Decenas de miles de personas se quedaron únicamente con la ropa que llevaban puesta. Esta fase cubrirá medicamentos, ropa, alimentos y campamentos temporales para quienes lo perdieron todo.

Fase 3 - Reconstrucción

Una vez pase la emergencia inmediata, el trabajo sigue: reconstruir casas, escuelas y la infraestructura básica que el sismo y sus réplicas destruyeron.

Cada aporte, sea grande o pequeño, se traduce directamente en un pasaje para un rescatista, un plato de comida, una carpa, un medicamento o un insumo esencial para las personas que hoy lo perdieron todo. On June 24, 2026, an earthquake devastated Venezuela. A week later, aftershocks are still happening, and people are still being found alive—along with victims—in the rubble. International brigades have arrived and local groups are doing what they can, but they can't keep up. Rescuers on the ground with decades of experience say they've never seen this level of devastation.

What is the situation right now?

Right now, more rescuers are needed in the area, and it's urgent; every hour counts.

Who are the rescue teams?

Fortunately, we found a group of angels, better known as "Topos" (Moles). They are volunteer rescuers from Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Brazil who are experts in collapsed structure rescue, having responded to disasters in Japan, Mexico, Chile, Turkey, Ecuador, Indonesia, and many other countries. These people are risking their lives to search for people in the rubble in a country that isn't their own. They leave their jobs, their families, and their homes out of a will to serve and help those who need it most.

This group of volunteer rescuers doesn't charge a single cent to help in Venezuela. They sleep on the ground, in tents, with only what they're wearing. All they ask is that someone pay for their flight to La Guaira, find them shelter, arrange transportation to zone 0, and provide something to eat while they work.

Who are we, and how are we helping?

So far, we've managed to send eight groups of rescuers; 17 are already on the ground, and more are on their way, thanks to a network of people that came together overnight. We handle entry and mobility permits in Venezuela, purchase flights, and organize transportation, food, and shelter logistics for our Topos. All of this has been possible thanks to family members, friends, and volunteers inside Venezuela who, without receiving a single cent for themselves, are picking up rescuers at the airports, arranging vehicles, setting up camps, and bringing food, tents, Starlinks, and everything else needed so the teams can focus on saving lives.

We want to make something very clear

We are not an NGO, we don't receive a salary, and we don't charge commissions, administrative fees, or anything like that. We're simply a group of people who decided to do everything within their power to help. Every cent raised in this campaign will go directly to the humanitarian response in Venezuela, whether to bring in more rescue teams, buy medication, food, supplies, or support the next phases of the emergency. Our only priority is making sure those resources reach the people who need them, in full.

What does your donation become?

This campaign will fund three phases of the response in Venezuela:

Phase 1 - Rescue (the priority right now)

Flights and ground transportation so more Topo teams can reach ground zero. We've been able to coordinate their food and shelter with the help of locals. It's urgent that more Topos arrive to search the rubble for survivors and to recover those who lost their lives, so their families can say goodbye with dignity.

Phase 2 - Critical supplies

Venezuela has no insurance system or savings network to support affected families. Tens of thousands of people were left with only the clothes on their backs. This phase will cover medication, clothing, food, and temporary camps for those who lost everything.

Phase 3 - Reconstruction

Once the immediate emergency passes, the work continues: rebuilding homes, schools, and the basic infrastructure destroyed by the earthquake and its aftershocks.

Every contribution, big or small, translates directly into a plane ticket for a rescuer, a plate of food, a tent, a medication, or an essential supply for the people who lost everything today.
