In the wake of George Floyd's deplorable killing, we want to humbly advocate for charities that are creating real change within our criminal justice system and the racial bias that exists within it.
The Innocence Project is a national litigation and public policy organization dedicated to exonerating wrongfully convicted people through DNA testing and reforming the U.S. criminal justice system to prevent future injustice. With the overwhelming majority of these wrongful convictions are people of color, to date, more than 335 people nationwide have been exonerated through DNA testing and dozens of states have implemented critical reforms to prevent wrongful convictions.
