Representing Luxembourg at the Rose of Tralee

Hello everyone!

My name is Aisling Guilfoyle — I’m French-Irish, living in Luxembourg, and I’m so proud to share that I’ve been selected as this year’s Luxembourg Rose for the Rose of Tralee International Festival.

✨ Wait — what is the Rose of Tralee?

The Rose of Tralee is one of Ireland’s most cherished cultural festivals. It brings together women of Irish heritage from around the world to celebrate identity, heritage, personality, and connection. It’s not a beauty pageant — it’s about who you are, where you come from, and the values you carry.

Roses from across the globe — from Sydney to New York to Luxembourg — gather in Ireland each summer for two weeks of interviews, public events, parades, and celebration, with the whole journey culminating in a live TV broadcast.

I’m so honoured to be representing Luxembourg on this international stage — and I’ll be doing it with heart, sparkle, and (hopefully!) a zipped-up dress.

Why I’ve created this GoFundMe

Being the Luxembourg Rose is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and while the experience is rich in memories, it does come with quite a few practical expenses. But i’d also like to honour a part of the contributions to an association that my father holds dear to his heart, that focus on finding cure for fighting cancer (cancer.ie)

Since sponsorships are less common in Luxembourg (where this tradition is still a bit unknown), I’ve decided to open this GoFundMe for friends, family, and supporters who might like to be part of the journey.

There’s absolutely no pressure to donate — this is just a heartfelt invitation. Every bit of support, from €5 to a friendly message or share, helps me show up feeling confident and proud to represent this beautiful country I call home.
