Hi, my name is Dominic. Along with Olga and Lynne, I started Hanwell Guerrilla Gardeners in 2025. We want to rejuvenate Hanwell's green spaces (and we've already started!), but the main project that inspired us was the flower beds at Hanwell Broadway by the famous Clocktower.

It's a big project; we have to remove old tree stumps, relocate the existing trees in the beds (so they can thrive), massively raise the soil level, and plant lots of new, diverse and hardy plants that can be enjoyed by Hanwellians and nature alike. The Broadway is the centre of Hanwell, and we all deserve to have a nice place to stop by, gather at, and enjoy.

As we're a community group of volunteers, there isn't any money. There's only so much we can grow/purchase ourselves, and we need the community to come together - as we know Hanwell can - and help us in our mission.

We're raising money to pay for as many plants as possible to fill the beds and invite nature back into our town. Any leftover money we have will go into more plants, and tools for us to keep gardening around Hanwell!

TIMELINE:

We want to have planted up all 4 of the beds in the first part of the year, so the plants are ready to bloom from April onwards.
