Update: the parents are so so grateful that the amount has already exceeded $500 which would replace the little concrete angel that was stolen. It is possible if more is donated that they will be able to afford a proper stone angel which was always out of their budget. This is why I have just let it continue rolling. Hello my name is Sarah and I am a friend of the parents of the 11 year old girl who had the beautiful angel stolen from her grave at Castlemaine Cemetery. As the cemetery have posted themselves, "this was a truly heartbreaking theft. The little angel was cemented securely in place as a loving tribute to a child deeply missed". As everyone has said, this was especially cruel to steal from a child's grave especially because this was not a bronze angel but made of concrete and just extremely special to the family to remember their precious daughter taken far too soon. Although the family keep hoping that somebody may do the right thing and return the angel I wanted to give an opportunity for those of us who want to contribute to a new angel to replace this one, to give a little bit of money. This has not come from them although I have their permission. They are just in such shock at the moment. Any small amount would be greatly appreciated.
