Replacement through-floor lift for Grace

Hi, my name is Stephen Harper and I am fundraising for a new through-floor lift for my daughter Grace who is a full-time wheelchair user. Grace acquired her disability as a baby when she contracted viral meningitis.

We live in a two story house and Grace uses the lift to access the upstairs of our home.... This is an essential piece of equipment for Grace, unlike a stair lift, it takes the person and their wheelchair upstairs.

We bought the current lift in 2011 thinking it would last a lifetime, however, recently the lift has started to break down with increased frequency and we have now been advised that it must be replaced.

Fundraising is a last resort for us but due to a lack of government funding, for the second time in Grace's life, we find ourselves having to ask our wider community for help to provide her with essential supports.

So, with a goal of covering the cost of the lift for motivation, I have dusted off my running shoes and started training for the Run Galway Bay Marathon which takes place on the 5th October 2024. If you could sponsor me, donate, or share this page, I would really appreciate it.
