Help Gospel Music Legend Danny Funderburk Get Back on the Road!

Fundraising Goal: $100,000

For decades, Danny Funderburk has been a familiar and beloved voice in Southern Gospel music. From his unforgettable years singing tenor with the legendary Cathedral Quartet to his continued ministry today, Danny has dedicated his life to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music.

His remarkable voice has blessed countless people, and his dedication to gospel music earned him a well-deserved place in the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame.

Now, after a devastating accident, Danny could use a little help from the very people he has spent his life encouraging.

Recently, Danny’s 2006 Tiffin Phaeton diesel pusher motorhome was destroyed in an accident. Thankfully, Danny had full insurance coverage, and the insurance company has agreed to pay $40,000 for the loss.

While we are grateful for that settlement, the reality is that $40,000 will not necessarily come close to purchasing a comparable, dependable diesel motorhome suitable for the demands of traveling gospel music ministry.

For Danny, this motorhome was much more than a recreational vehicle. It was a vital part of his ministry, allowing him to travel thousands of miles to churches, concerts, and gospel music gatherings where he shares his God-given talent and the message of Jesus Christ.

There is another challenge many people may not realize.

Those who dedicate their lives to traveling gospel music ministry often do not receive the regular, predictable income associated with traditional employment. As a result, obtaining conventional bank financing for an expensive replacement motorhome can be particularly difficult.

That’s why we’re asking the Southern Gospel music family to come together and help Danny get back on the road.

My name is Michael Gibson, owner of Imperial Coach in Dayton, OH and I have the privilege of calling Danny my personal friend for many years.

I’ve seen how much his ministry means to people, and I believe this is an opportunity for all of us to give something back to a man who has spent so many years giving of himself.

Our goal is to raise $100,000 in additional funds to help Danny, along with his $40,000 insurance settlement, purchase a dependable replacement diesel motorhome and continue the ministry to which God has called him.

This isn’t about luxury or extravagance. It’s about helping a faithful gospel singer continue doing what he has devoted his life to doing: sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Think about the countless people who have been encouraged by Danny’s singing over the years. Think about the churches, concerts, and gatherings where his music has brought comfort, joy, and inspiration.

Now we have an opportunity to be an encouragement to him.
