Replace Total Loss Rescue Truck
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Brandon Winger I am a friend of Paul Ahles who has been volunteering in EMS/Fire/Rescue rolls for over 35 years. 20 years with Hopkins fire, Over 30 years providing a vital rescue roll for rally racing in Minnesota and Michigan which are ran entirely by volunteers. Paul does not know I am doing this.
On Sunday August 21st Paul had just finished up a 6 day stretch volunteering for Ojibwa Forest Rally in northern Minnesota when he was meeting a car on his way out. He slowed down to a near stop and moved over, as many of the roads in the area are very narrow. The road gave way causing Paul’s rescue truck to slide into the steep ditch and rolled totaling it. It was insured, however even though Paul took very good care of “Rocinante” as he called it. The insurance company is only paying out $3000. My hopes are to get Paul into a replacement rescue truck that will serve another 22+ Years as this truck did. The price I put is for a base model truck, that doesn’t include replacing the required equipment that was damaged in the accident, which was not covered.
Paul has spent many years of his time and own money volunteering in many aspects. This is a great opportunity to show appreciation for his dedication and years of service.
