Replace the Twickenham Brunswick Club Minibus

The Twickenham Brunswick Club desperately needs a new minibus to continue doing all the different activities within the community. It is used to take local children and athletes to competitions, collect materials needed for the daily running of the club. It is also available for some other local youth groups so the benefit is extended more widely in the community. Replacing the minibus means that the Twickenham Brunswick Youth Club can continue supporting our children and members to reach their goals.

The current minibus is many years old and requires ongoing repairs, servicing and MOT repairs and renewals. As the minibus ages gracefully, matters such as forgetting to turn the lights off, or delaying a low level service due to other competing priorities, become more problematic and less advisable.

We have discussed on a number of occasions the need for a new minibus. A replacement minibus, even if purchased second hand, is still in the region of £40k-£50k. Instead, we are looking at buying a second hand vehicle with 8 or 9 seats which is around £15k. That way we can continue the previous activities of the minibus. The new vehicle will be ULEZ compliant and will hopefully have as long a life with the club as the current minivan.
