Replace the Destroyed Ghost Rivers Sign in Wyman Park Dell

Help replace the destroyed Ghost Rivers sign in Wyman Park Dell!

Last fall, a reckless driver sped through Wyman Park Dell and flattened one of the new Ghost Rivers art installations. The sculptural sign was damaged beyond repair, and is currently being refabricated.

Friends of Wyman Park Dell is working with Ghost Rivers artist Bruce Willen to restore this cool public art project that visualizes the path of a buried stream flowing below the park and Baltimore's streets.

Your donations will fund the fabrication and installation of a new sculptural sign for the Dell, along with a spare sign frame (in case of future damage). Any additional money raised will go into the Ghost Rivers maintenance fund to support future repairs.

ABOUT GHOST RIVERS

Ghost Rivers is a neighborhood-spanning, multi-site public art installation and walking tour by artist Bruce Willen that visualizes a lost stream buried below the streets of Baltimore. Through a series of installations, wayfinding markers, and writings Ghost Rivers reveals the hidden path of the creek Sumwalt Run, bringing its lost landscapes and histories to the surface. Along the way the project draws connections between Baltimore’s watershed, its social history, and the evolving relationships between natural and human environments.
