Replace the Bass for Kyle Smith of BWH
Donation protected
Hello folks,
Dalton Flake here, your resident Angel on the tree with The Grand Ol’ Christmas Show. I come with a cause of great importance. Aside from occasionally joining Blue Water Highway on stage for Christmas Shows, I happen to be friends with this talented bunch as well.
If you are as big a fan of Blue Water Highway as I am, you probably already know that at a recent concert in Oklahoma City, a terrible wind arose and sent Dr. Kyle Smith’s beloved upright bass to play in the Angel Band.
Here’s the band’s post about it:
“Wellllll folks, the worst finally happened. It wasn’t the thousands of miles on the road in a trailer, or Kyle smashing it like a rockstar on stage, it was the wind. We’re all set up for tonight’s show in Oklahoma City, and right before soundcheck, a big gust of wind came and knocked the whole thing right over, and the headstock broke clean off. sad day, but the show will go on—minus upright bass for a while.”
Friends, this just won’t do. So I’m setting a goal of 5k dollars which should help procure a replacement bass of similar quality. I want to give this to them, NO STRINGS ATTACHED. Together, I know that we can pull together and help these guys “Replace the Bass”, and perhaps get a hard case this time.
