My mum’s electric bike was stolen while she was at work at the hospital.
She works on Disney Ward, caring for children and families during some of the hardest moments of their lives — all while she herself is living with stage 4 cancer. Despite everything she is facing, she continues to show up, give care, and put others first.
Her electric bike wasn’t a luxury. It was her lifeline.
The bike is how she gets to and from work, attends appointments, and maintains some independence during treatment. Due to her health, walking long distances or relying on public transport isn’t always possible. The bike gave her freedom, dignity, and a way to keep working — something that means the world to her.
The bike was securely left at the hospital while she was on shift, and devastatingly, it was stolen. The cost to replace it is £1,899, and sadly this just isn’t something my parents can afford, especially with the financial strain that comes with long term illness.
We are asking for help to replace the bike so my mum can:
Get to work safely
Keep her independence
Continue doing the job she loves
Focus her energy on her health, not worry and stress
Any donation, no matter how small, would mean more than we can put into words. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would also be an incredible help. Also - if anyone does know anything, please do get in contact with us.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for supporting my mum during such a difficult time. Your kindness truly makes a difference.
