Replace my hospitalized mom's totaled car

Hi, my name is Daniel Bragg and I'm starting this fundraiser for my mom who has had been put through hell in recent weeks.

In short, she has been hospitalized for over a week as she recovers from a major emergency surgery, and while hospitalized, my brother took her car without permission and totaled it while driving drunk.

My mom has been so strong throughout my entire life having raised my brother and I alone after the passing of my father resulting from a car crash when I was 7. In recent months she has been dealing with severe stomach pains that ultimately landed her in the hospital on 8/31. It was discovered there that she had a perforation in her intestine that required immediate surgery to save her life. A colostomy was performed on 9/1, and she had been recovering in the hospital ever since with no clear sign of when she can return home.

Yesterday afternoon, my brother who was house sitting for her (taking care of the dog) ended up getting drunk, taking her car, and totaling it across the street. My brother was arrested and needless to say, this is the last thing she needed at this time in her life.

She has no idea that I'm doing this, but my hope is to raise enough money to help her replace her car and bring her some peace of mind during this difficult time.
