Repairing a Car for a Family in Need

Hello, my name is Shawn Greenwood. My wife and I recently financed a newer car. Instead of using my 2007 Honda Accord as a trade-in, we decided that it would be best donated to a family in need of a vehicle. It has far greater value as a running vehicle for someone else than $2200 trade-in for us. I am not in a position to continue investing in this vehicle, but I am willing to use it to help others.

We are trying to raise money to get some repair work done on this vehicle in order to get it running safely before we donate it to the family in mind. My 2007 Honda Accord is in good condition with 222,000 miles on it. Though the engine, interior, and body are in good condition, it does need a little TLC. The front suspension and steering control need to be replaced in order to be able to drive it safely.

The family to whom we wish to donate the car survives on disability with part-time work. Like many people these days, they are living in conditions of housing, food, medical, and transportation insecurities. They do not have the resources to get this car in safe working order, but with all of our help, we can help them get to the places they need to go.

I went and got a couple of estimates on repairs. At the referral of many of my friends, I went to Unique Creations by Billy here in Fayetteville, AR. I told them my intentions with the vehicle, and they were able to give me a really reasonable quote on the repairs.

Thank you all for your time and support.
