Repair our 1932 Seagrave Firetruck.
The Mount Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department is a fire company within Roanoke County in Virginia. We own the first Fire Truck purchased for Roanoke County, a 1932 Seagrave. This truck has been regularly used by MPVFD since it was restored by our former Chief, Gene Wagner, who even hand-made parts for it when he was unable to find parts elsewhere.
The Seagrave had been losing power. During compression testing, one of our cylinders had a low compression. The heads were pulled to take a better look at the issue. A crack was found in the block. We are currently attempting to raise money to repair the engine, as we wish to keep it as original as possible.
