Repair floor in large hall in Community Hall
Did you attend the school/preschool in St Giles Community Centre?
Do your grandchildren use it for uniformed organisations?
Do you attend any of our many community events?
If so you will no doubt be upset to hear that our large hall is again out of use.
Our hall Manager has done a fantastic job of rearranging locations, even in some cases having groups use St Giles Church.
8 years ago we had to have part of the floor repaired and we had new flooring laid. Unfortunately the problem has returned to an even greater degree. The joists under the floor have started to rot, due in part to the higher water table and the horrendous rain that we are encountering. The flooring that was put down in 2016 is ruined and will need replacing.
We have already spent £12,000 on materials and VAT, but there are more bills to pay.
We are therefore reaching out to the community to ask if you can donate, however small an amount.
Thank you so much.
