Rent and Food for Rosie and Leo

Rosie has a plan. But she needs our help to achieve it. This GoFundMe brings together Rosie’s extended community to assist her and baby Leo in the short-term as she applies for work and legal guardianship. It is a joy-filled but intense venture and she needs our support.
Rosie has bravely taken on the role of parenting baby Leon Verona Qualtere, born 6/13/2020. Leo has brought love and inspiration to Rosie’s world, and also the challenge of abruptly becoming a single parent. She has been fortunate to count on the support of friends and family while facing financial precarity given her inability to work while caring for Leo.
Right now she requires support from her community to make rent and live as she pursues new work during this global economic crisis and seeks additional care options for Leo, as well as paying for fees to become his legal guardian. Specifically, she needs money for rent, food, diapers, and court fees as she pursues work and care options.
$5000. This is our goal so that Rosie can make rent, pay for food until the end of the year, and ease the burden of legal fees. Your support will go a long way in supporting baby Leo in his first year and helping Rosie get on her feet for sustainable parenting and career building.
