Rent a space for Community Kindness - Thanet
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Sonia and, in November 2020, I started Community Kindness - Thanet, a small unincorporated charitable organisation which provides brand new gifts for special occasions to vulnerable children and adults across Thanet. Since launching, I have always ran the charity solely on my own from my home but we have now become so big that it is not possible to continue operating unless we can secure an alternative location to store, sort and allocate donations.
Community Kindness - Thanet only accepts referrals from professional agencies working with vulnerable children and adults and we are now widely recognised as an important avenue of support for our most vulnerable families. Christmas 2023 saw nearly 1000 individuals referred to us for Christmas gifts meaning that we sent out just under 4,000 brand new items.
I am very aware of the turbulent financial position facing so many people but without this funding I will not be able to continue operating. This money will be used to rent a storage unit at a heavily discounted price for the next 12 months. It will enable me to take a second storage unit for additional space in the run up to Christmas, and cover the cost of insurance.
I really do not want to ask yet again for financial support from the community but without it I do not have any other options to continue operating.
