Renovating NCSSM's Gazebo on Hill Street
Donation protected
The gazebo on Hill Street is integral to the NCSSM student life experience. At any time of the day, you can find students gathering here to study, read, or just catch up with one another. However, over the years, the gazebo has shown significant signs of aging: the shingles are rotting, planks of wood are missing, and the furniture is falling apart. For Mini-Term, Andy Wang, Will Staples, Marco Barrientos, and I are proposing to remodel it, building it bigger, stronger, and more student-friendly. The new gazebo will be a pentagon featuring benches with reclined backrests, a built-in table, and solar-powered lighting(pictured is the design in Fusion360, which can be viewed here ). However, funding is proving to be an obstacle in our project, as the Mini-Term committee only allocates $10 per person per project. With your donations, NCSSM students will be able to enjoy a more efficient study space, benefiting the lives of future generations of North Carolina's "Best and Brightest." Any donations are welcome and extremely appreciated.
