Rene's Care & Comfort

In our lives, we never expect that we will not be able to cover our daily expenses due to illness. That is exactly what is happening to my brother, Rene Aguirre. He was recently diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis; a health debilitating disease that can only possibly be cured with a lung transplant – so for now, there is only treatment to keep him comfortable.

He was laid off; this caused him to lose his medical insurance and he is temporarily on COBRA. He has applied for disability, but has not been approved. The unemployment income he receives is not enough to cover his daily living and medical expenses. His condition has made it so that he can no longer live on his own. He is now staying with his daughter and her family but does not have the proper living space.

The funds raised will be used to help Rene cover his daily expenses and to modify his daughter’s home to accommodate him comfortably in a proper living space.

Converting the space needed will cost approximately $20,000, and the additional funds will be used to help with his daily living and medical costs.

God willing, there will be enough funds to help my brother live comfortably as he is treated for this disease.
