Help us fix up our beloved Shul "Daat Torah"

Want to join me in making a difference and doing a big Mitzvah before Rosh Hashanah? We are raising money to benefit D Torah and Educational Center, and any donation will help create an impact. Our Shul is an educational center and a resource for all. We require some basic renovations so we can continue to function and thrive. We want to convert our storage area in the back of the Shul into a functioning kids' classroom and play area. Our goal is to establish a children's education program to serve those whose parents cannot afford the expensive tuition at private Jewish schools. We will cover Davening, Parshah learning, and traditions and have weekly raffles on Shabbat and Holy days. The program will be community-funded at no cost to parents. We need to remove the 20-year-old carpet, repaint and fix the walls, and no lighting or air conditioning is currently available in the storage space.

We also need to renovate our small kitchen and bathrooms, as we host weekly free Shabbat meals for anyone in need and all Holy day meals.

For twenty years, our Rav, Harav Moshe Yaakov Hafuta Shlita, has been head of Bet Din and the Bet Midrash, educator of Torah, pillar of the community and one who works tirelessly for the sake of Torah and Chesed.

His shul and Bet Midrash “Daat Torah”, is a place where most tractates of the Babylonian Talmud have been completed, where the entire Jerusalem Talmud has been completed, where there are endless classes on in-depth Halacha topics, where books of Halacha are published in collaboration with Rabbis from congregations across the United States. However, the Shul is in dire need of a renovation and facelift, as we want to establish further and grow the community based on the principles of Torah and Chesed.
