My name is Kerry Hyland. Today, we lost a great man, husband, father, and friend. Zach Ivie passed away unexpectedly in his sleep this morning. Zach has been family to me and my family for 15 years now. He has passed on, leaving his wife, Liz, 2 daughters, and 2 sons, leaving a huge hole in their hearts! Zach was a very large member of the soccer community in Utah, whether it be as a player, coach, and most of all, a great friend to many clubs, high schools, and colleges here in the state of Utah, as a member of the staff at Team Gear International. Zach specialized in listening and knowing what many teams, coaches, and directors needed for their clubs to get their uniforms, gear, and cleats ready for their many teams and upcoming seasons. He met his wife, Liz, 8 years ago and fell madly in love with her. We spent countless hours at lunch, on the phone, and in parking lots or parks talking about her and how she stole his heart. I had the pleasure of performing their wedding ceremony 7 years ago, bringing them together as a family. Together, they brought a beautiful baby girl into the world while bringing their families together from past relationships. There are so many great things to be said about Zach and the man he was. It's very hard to accept the loss we all feel, but know Zach is hugging his mom in heaven and the celebration they must be having seeing each other again. Losing a man like Zach and his heart of gold will be felt by many, but mostly by his family.
Due to this unexpected loss at such a young age, planning for something this horrible was not on the to-do list. I am asking you, as friends and family of Zach and Liz, if you could please help ease the financial burden for Liz and her family at this time for any funeral or memorial costs, and build a little extra something for the near future as Liz moves through these muddy waters. Anything would be helpful.
Thank you for your love
