Dear friends and family,

Thank you all for the outpouring of love and support during this incredibly difficult time. As many of you have asked, we are still awaiting details about the cause of my son’s passing, and it will likely take 6-8 weeks to receive more information. I will decide what to share when I know more. Thank you for understanding our need for privacy at this time.

We have just finalized the details for his cremation, and we are in the process of making arrangements for a memorial service in the Bay Area. We’ll be sure to share more information about that when it's available. This may not happen for at least 2 weeks to 1 month.

I also want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who has contributed to the GoFundMe account for my son's funeral costs and our travel expenses. Your generosity has been a tremendous help during this difficult time, and we are overwhelmed by the love and support you’ve shown.

To those who have offered prayers, kind words, flowers and well wishes—your thoughts have brought comfort to our hearts. The outpouring of support from so many has reminded us of the strength of our community and the love that surrounds us.

Thank you for being there for us in ways big and small. Your kindness means more than words can express.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Michael Berman, only beloved son of Linda Callaghan (Augustine).

Michael (Mikey), a dear son, friend, and member of our community, passed away in his home on Jan. 2nd, 2025, at the age of 34. His presence brought joy and warmth to those who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.

We kindly ask for your thoughts and prayers for his mother Linda, her fiancé Tim, her relatives and Mikey's close friends and community during this difficult time.

Please allow time and space for this family to grieve. More details will be shared soon.
