Honoring Michele Cocchia: A Kind Soul Lost Unfairly

In honor of Michele Cocchia Landestoy, I have created this platform to help support Michele's family with her memorial/celebration of life services and the unexpected costs related to her horrific and tragic passing on Tuesday, May 13th, after falling victim to a senseless domestic violence act by the person she was supposed to trust the most, who after taking her life, cowardly took his own. This has left the family empty, trying to understand why they have lost their matriarch when she was supposed to be planning the golden years of her life.

As many of you may know, Michele was the softest and kindest soul that anyone could ever meet. She adored and doted on all her loved ones, including her 5 children, 13 grandchildren, along with countless friends and coworkers. There wasn't a human that couldn't fall in love with Michele's contagious laugh, warm genuine heart, and that sweet charismatic grin of hers. She was looking forward to her retirement party later this year and to enjoy her golden years with who always meant the most to her, her loved ones.

The family has been working on getting through their grief after , Michele's late son, passed suddenly in an ATV accident 3 years ago. The family was just starting to manage their grief, and then this has unfairly happened to them. Michele will be missed more than words can express. We hope to honor her life and keep her legacy alive by supporting her remaining family, keeping her positive energy alive. This is what she would want.

Over the next few days, months, and years, her family is going to need a variety of support, not just monetary, and whatever anyone can do helps: a donation here, a meal or care package, a call when the storm settles simply to remind them you're there or make them smile, and continued presence at family get-togethers. The need will be endless.

At this time, the family have been overwhelmed with calls and inquiries as to what happened, all while trying to navigate scene cleanup, the investigation, and planning Michele's untimely funeral services.

I remind everyone to give them grace while they navigate these truly terrible tasks and their grief, all while still trying to conduct regular life activities such as bathing, eating, cooking, kids and beyond. They appreciate everyone reaching out and have asked me to include their appreciation in any post I make (I asked their permission to post anything in related to support prior to posting).

You are so loved by everyone. Your life here on earth will be missed beyond comprehension for your family, friends coworkers and community. We can only find some condolences that you are with your Kyle, embracing each other in God's glory with our Maker.
