On 29 April 2025, while working on one of our external projects, Martin Barham—one of our longest-serving tower crane operators—suddenly became unwell. Despite the swift and dedicated efforts of both the on-site team and emergency services, Martin sadly passed away. Martin was not just a valued team member but a true friend to many of us, and he will be profoundly missed.

Martin worked with Select for over 25 years and 10 years with Delta prior to that. He worked on some of the most prestigious projects in and around London over the years and was an integral team member that we were fortunate to work with as were our clients on the projects he worked on. Many of those clients were quick to pass on their praise for Martin over the years as were his colleagues.

Many of you will have known Martin. He was held in very high regard which is apparent following an influx of messages of support and best wishes from many of you and the wider industry already.

Martin leaves behind his wife Linda, two sons, one of which has also worked for Select previously, a daughter and 6 grandchildren. This fundraising page has been set up to help further support the family.
