Remembering Mari: Honoring a Life Full of Dreams.

Dear Family and Friends,

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our precious 15yr old Lamari Dillon. On June 13th our loved one was taken from us too soon before he could truly experience the great life he had ahead of him. Mari was a bright light and blessing to all in his life and it hurts to know we will no longer see his bright smile again. Mari loved football. He dedicated himself to perfecting his craft on the field. His dream was to play in college and one day make it to the NFL. He worked tirelessly towards this goal, and his determination was truly inspiring. Mari was full of life and loved his mother’s curry chicken and yams, a small detail that speaks volumes about his connections to family and his joy in life’s simple pleasures.

Lamari leaves behind his legacy through his loving parents and brothers. His spirit lives on through their strength, love, and the memories that they hold dear to their hearts. Lamari was loved by not just his family, but his community. He grew up as an active child within the community. Between sports, school, and many other activities, Lamari touched the lives of so many people of all ages.

As we try to navigate through this heartbreaking time, we are reaching out to family, friends, and anyone in the community willing to help. We are raising funds to give our dear Lamari the loving farewell that he deserves. Every donation will go directly to funeral and burial costs as well as supporting our family in this sudden and unimaginable time of grief. Any donation given will be greatly appreciated.
