Remembering Col Michael "Rags" Seltzer

Team Seltzer,
Most of you are aware that we lost an American hero last week in Col Michael "Rags" Seltzer. Rags was not only a phenomenal husband, father, son, brother, fighter pilot, and beloved member of our Air Force Family…he inspired many within academia, his local community, and around the world. To streamline the outpouring of love for the Seltzer family, we've created this link for all the people Rags positively impacted to pass messages and support Kat and the kids as they see fit.
Rags was the best fighter pilot many of us had the privilege to know. His ability to teach and inspire anyone was his superpower. The level to which he taught F-16 and F-35 pilots for over 20 years is unmatched, and his talent was well known as a multiple time winner of the Best Weapons School Instructor as recognized by his students. Rags could relate to others and empathize better than most of us put together. His combination of raw talent, unbelievable intelligence, and a desire to see others succeed will be missed tremendously.
As great of a fighter pilot as Rags was, he was an even better human being. His "teacher/instructor" demeanor was ever present. Almost everyone who knew him can relate to a story where he just listened. Rags had no issue letting you pour your heart out so he could better understand how to help you. He was amazing at it.....and many of us are better for crossing his path in life.
Kat, Oliver, Penny, and Evie, you have an amazing support system that will continue to help you along the way.....to include remembering and reminiscing about your one-of-a-kind Husband and Dad.
