In Loving Memory of Jeffery Stewart
July 5, 1975 – January 14, 2026
Jeffery Stewart was the kind of man you don’t forget.
At just 50 years old, Jeffery passed away unexpectedly after suffering a heart attack while doing something he loved, working out.
Jeffery was a devoted father of five, an entrepreneur, a dog-lover, and a constant presence of kindness in the Birmingham community. Above all, he loved his children deeply. He is survived by his five kids, ages 6, 14, 20, 21, 29, and beloved wife.
His passing has left a space that cannot be filled, and a family whose world has been forever changed. If you knew Jeffery, you knew his heart. If you didn’t know him personally, chances are your child did. Jeffery loved serving kids. Through his ice cream truck, he showed up to schools, camps, clinics, and community events across Birmingham, not just to hand out ice cream, but to create moments. Yes, the kids definitely came for ice cream, but they stayed for Jeffery. His smile, patience, kindness, and genuine appreciation for every child he served made him someone kids looked forward to seeing again and again.
Our family came to know Jeffery through Aces & Birdies, my wife Anna’s youth sports business. Anna would hire Jeffery to come out to clinics and camps where he would surprise kids with ice cream at the end of long, hot days. You could see how much it meant to the kids, and how much it meant to him. Over time, it became clear that Jeffery wasn’t just providing a service, he was giving something of himself. That’s why we felt it on our hearts to do this.
The reality is that losing a parent shakes the foundation of a family, and in today’s world, where even basic needs are harder to meet than ever, that loss carries weight far beyond grief alone. Stability, support, and showing up matters.
Jeffery gave so much to the youth of our community. It’s the least we can do to give back to his community, his children, who need support now more than ever.
Every donation, every share, every message of support is a way to honor a man who showed up with kindness, consistency, and love. This is a chance to give his family the same care he so freely gave to others.
Thank you for helping us remember Jeffery the way he lived, by giving.
With gratitude,
Patrick & Anna
