Remembering Ian Shaw: Supporting Parker’s Future Path
Donation protected
I am reaching out to ask for your support in a GoFundMe campaign for my brother Ian Shaw’s family. Ian passed away unexpectedly while on vacation last Saturday, leaving behind his wife, Angie Shaw, and their 13-year-old son, Parker.
Ian was an incredibly dedicated father who worked countless overtime shifts to ensure Parker had everything he needed to pursue his love of sports—whether it was baseball, martial arts, or swimming.
Ian had recently enrolled Parker in a new martial arts training program in their hometown of Mission, which included kickboxing and jiu-jitsu. Parker has been in martial arts since grade 1, and Ian had big plans for his future. With Parker’s long history in baseball, plan was to continue with the current baseball season, then onto the Mission 15 Youth Baseball next year. Parker also participates in several spring, summer, and winter baseball camps. Ian also had planned to register Parker for the Yale Baseball Academy for the next four years.
Additionally, Parker had dreams of going to BC Bounce for basketball and earning his bronze medallion in swimming.
Angie’s immediate concern is for Parker, and our goal is to ensure he can continue to participate in all these activities throughout his high school years, just as Ian would have supported. Our hope is to keep Ian’s dreams for his son alive by covering Parker's annual sports fees, tutoring, and other related costs until he turns 18. Any support you can offer will help provide financial stability for Angie to ensure Parker’s future remains bright in honor of Ian’s memory.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity during this difficult time.
