Remembering Cataleya: Share Her Light

On May 20th, 2025, the world lost a bright and beautiful soul. Cataleya Cardenas Valdovinos, just 4 years old, gained her angel wings after a courageous battle with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), a rare and aggressive cancerous brain tumor.

Though her time with us was far too short, she filled every day with light, laughter, and love. Her smile could brighten the darkest room, her giggle was the soundtrack of our happiest moments, and her hugs could heal even the heaviest hearts. She was a bright spark of joy—full of curiosity, imagination, and kindness.

She absolutely adored her favorite characters: Bluey, and Elsa and Anna from Frozen. Whether she was singing along to Disney songs, playing Roblox, or cooking up imaginary meals in her little play kitchen, she brought so much joy and magic to the world around her. She loved her Happy Meals, always excited for that little box of happiness. Most of all, she had a beautiful, innocent faith—she loved praying to God and talking about Him, filling our hearts with hope and comfort.

Even in the face of something no child should ever have to endure, she showed more courage and grace than we ever thought possible. She taught us how to be strong, how to love deeply, and how to live fully in each precious moment.

We are creating this page to honor her memory, to share her story, and to celebrate the incredible little soul she was. Though she is no longer with us physically, her spirit lives on in every heart she touched.
