Remembering Aunty Colleens dream
Donation protected
Djiringanj Elder Aunty Colleen Dixons’ kindness, pride and cultural connection was a part of herself she shared with so many of us and her love and care for her community was unwavering. Often she spoke with us that she wanted her family to have access to a caravan to help them during the times they may experience housing insecurity. Until she recently passed away we (Sue Andrew & Sue Hill) had been working in collaboration with Aunty Colleen to bring her dream into a tangible form. We haven't forgotten her dream. We consider it not only a legacy of one of the many ways she cared for her family but our own responsibility to pay the rent to those who have always cared for the country we now get to live on.
Sue A has found the van and we are asking you the community to help us with the funds to bring it from Ngarigo country down to Djiringanj country.
