Remembering Amie: Support Her Family's Journey

Amie Debra Christine Kornegay, a beloved mother, sister, partner, and compassionate friend, passed away suddenly Sunday, May 5th surrounded by family and friends. Amie leaves behind her partner Amon and their two young children, Nani (8) and Mika (7). Amie was full of life, selfless, and beloved by everyone she met. As the family navigates this time of grief and loss, we are reminded of Amie's profound impact on so many lives. She moved so many people with her generosity, compassion, and unshakable love. In this spirit of remembrance and celebration, we come together to honor her memory.

Amie had many talents and found joy and laughter even when times were hard. She danced like no one was watching, sketched effortlessly, loved to make homemade pizza and always dreamed big! She possessed a natural ability to connect with animals, children and the disabled adults that she once worked with.

Now with Amie gone, the family will need to move from their house just weeks after she died and Amon is doing all that he can to try to keep Nani and Mika in their hometown so that they can retain some normality in their daily life. She loved Amon and the kids so much and she would have wanted us to remember her by helping take care of her family.

Many people have offered to help, which is why this page was developed as a means to offer your support. Amie would have wanted nothing more than to be remembered through helping to take care of her family, her world. All of the funds raised will go directly to the Morales family to assist them through this difficult time, specifically going towards her young children’s medical needs, housing and education.
