Remembering Aiden Dornbos: A Life of Service

A heartbreaking loss has shaken the Belleville community with the passing of Aiden Dornbos, a beloved son, friend, classmate, student, coworker, and leader whose life touched countless people.

Aiden was a student at Belleville High School and a proud member of the Class of 2026.

Beyond the classroom, Aiden was a treasured member of the Naval Junior ROTC program at BHS, serving as the Commanding Officer and a dependable leader among his peers. His dedication, character, and commitment to service earned the respect of those around him and reflected the remarkable young man he had become.

In March 2026, Aiden proudly enlisted in the United States Navy and secured a position in the Navy’s prestigious Nuclear Program—a testament to his intelligence, determination, and bright future. He was excited to begin a life of service to his country and pursue the opportunities that lay ahead. It seems fitting that someone with such a passion for serving others was born on Veterans Day 11/11/2008.

Tragically, Aiden’s promising future was cut short in a devastating car accident. Instead of preparing for graduation and celebrating the accomplishments of their son, his parents are now faced with the unimaginable grief of planning his funeral and burial.

The outpouring of love, tributes, and support from family, friends, classmates, teachers, coworkers, and community members speaks volumes about the impact Aiden had on those around him. He was a young man with an infectious smile, a caring heart, strong values, and a future filled with promise.

As Aiden’s family navigates this unimaginable loss, we humbly ask for your support. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help ease the financial burden of providing Aiden with the dignified farewell he deserves. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page with others who may be moved to help.

This Memorial Day, as we honor those who have served and sacrificed for our nation, we also remember a young man who was preparing to answer that call himself. Please help us uplift Aiden’s family during their darkest hour and honor the memory of a future sailor whose life ended far too soon.

Thank you for your kindness, prayers, support, and generosity.

Rest in peace, Aiden Dornbos. Your leadership, service, and spirit will never be forgotten. ❤️
