Hey, my names Ell. I am raising money to buy a CuddleCot for Bolton hospital.

Our story

I am a mummy to Luca and my angel baby Asa James. We fell pregnant with Baby Asa in January 2025, on the 14th may I was due for my 20 week scan where we got the most awful news any parent would dread. Our little new bundle of joys heart had stopped around 17 weeks. I had had a missed miscarriage. Asa was born 16th may 1.50am weighing a tiny 0.4 pounds. 10 tiny tiny toes and 10 tiny tiny fingers. Just so perfect but to precious for this world. We’re not sure what happened or if we will ever find out why. Lucy, Heather and Nicola and the midwife team at Bolton was absolutely amazing helping our family get through this difficult heart breaking time. Staying in the Harper Rose suite we was able to have as much time as we needed with Asa with the help of the CuddleCot.

A CuddleCot is a cooling system specifically designed to help grieving parents spend time with their baby after death. It uses a cooling pad that fits inside a moses basket or other cot, allowing families to keep their baby cool and comfortable, giving them more time to bond, grieve, and create memories.

myself, my partner Alex want to try and raise as much money as we can to try and buy a CuddleCot for Bolton hospital and the maternity unit. Even if you can not donate any money which will be greatly appreciated a share would help this reach as many people as possible with the power of social media. As well as this GoFundMe we will be hosting a charity football match/day at Winton social club Eccles on 21st June at 2pm. Any locals that want to come and support us there will be stalls to help anyone who wants to donate.
