One thing we inherited from our Dad is the inability to ask for help, until now. Anyone who knows our family, knows that the two things Dad is most proud of is his time serving our country in the Navy, and his family. He has always been there for us and now we need to be there for him and our mom. They've always made things work, but it's never been easy and all of their hardships have unfortunately caught up to them. Starting with Dad's cancer diagnosis about 25 years ago, to his recent stroke and permanent feeding tube, they are financially drained. Retirement has been anything but the life you dream of having after working hard your whole life. Dad had even continued to work after retirement and would still be working to this day if his health allowed. I know they are not the only ones struggling, if you are unable to donate, please share, we are just hoping to take some of their stress and burden away so they can enjoy what should be their "golden years".
