Relief/Job Support for Harlan Co. Coal Miners
Donation protected
Coal country has been hurt by continued job loss and Harlan County is among the many recently harmed. The news is national and you can read more in local news outlet Courier Journal
We are empathetic to hear the news about my fellow Kentuckians from Harlan County (Coal Miners) losing their jobs. These are hard working people who provided services to a company and were not paid for those services.
Growing up in KY, I grew up with the value structure that we should work hard and help people when we can.
We are fund raising to help provide relief by way of supplies, gift cards to local grocery stores. We hope to take it one step further -
Not only are we willing to help provide immediate support and relief to those in need, we are also able to help develop skillsets in the clean technology industry - with our training center in Charleston, South Carolina - we can train hard working individuals from Harlan and help place them into a new career in clean technology. Relocation packages are available and we're here to help.
We will start by funding the full GoFundMe goal and ask others to
support where possible.
Kind regards,
Chris Kemper, CEO & Founder at Palmetto
