Sightglass Barista Relief Fund
As a body of people, the Sightglass Coffee Baristas/Staff daily attempt to create a home like environment in their Divisadero, MOMA, 20th and 7th street locations. It has been our joy and pleasure to serve these San Franciscan communities and neighborhoods, some of us for several years. Your generosity, kind words, jokes, cute pups and shoulders to lean on have been some of the greatest perks of our job. It not only has affected us as individuals, but has continually bonded the staff as a tight family. From the Sightglass Baristas to you- we thank you, and now must ask for your support. Due to the recent economical and health crisis in San Francisco, many of the Sightglass employees were laid off. As is the case with most businesses, there is no end date for this unemployment. Being that the service industry is heavily tip based and consists of pay check by paycheck Hourly Employees, this blow has effected the Sightglass staff and baristas with full force. We are asking for our community's help in raising $25k to distribute between all 4 locations; Divisadero, 20th Street, 7th Street and MOMA . Currently there are approx. 40 people who are without a job, waiting on unemployment and could use any financial support available. We do understand that times are tough for many people right now, and are continuing to think about and send love to our communities in which we miss so much already. Any and all help you can give at this time would be greatly appreciated!
