As many of you know, Joseph Spees recently faced an extremely difficult situation following actions he feels were taken against him. During a recent DRH meeting, he chose to exercise his right to arbitration at a time when he and his wife were preparing to welcome their baby girl next month. After that decision, he received an indefinite suspension from work, which has created significant challenges for him and his family.
Spees has shared that he believes the investigation into his case did not present clear evidence of wrongdoing and that the level of discipline he received did not align with how similar cases have been handled in the past. He explained that he felt considerable pressure throughout the process, and that maintaining his rights and accepting the indefinite suspension was, for him, the only way to stand up for what felt right and fair. By choosing to do this, he is now forced to navigate a lengthy arbitration process to seek a fair resolution.
In the meantime, his family is experiencing financial strain due to the sudden loss of income, on top of regular household expenses, upcoming medical bills, and the costs associated with their newborn’s arrival.
If you’re able to contribute, even a small amount, or simply share this campaign, your support would provide Spees and his family with much-needed stability and relief during an incredibly stressful time.
Thank you for supporting Spees and his family as they work through this process.
