Can we help? COVID-19 Hits Meatheads Grill

Donation protected

This GoFundMe is to support a very small local business - Meatheads Grill - that hasn’t been open very long even though it feels like they have because they have become a pillar of the Gloucester and Orleans communities.
When COVID-19 hit in March, that should have been enough to cripple this brand new business, but it didn't. However, this new development of COVID-19 among the staff could very well do them in. I have known Jessy and Chantal for about a year and a half. Although I now live in the west end, I am still a loyal supporter and patron of Meatheads and would like to see them stick around. I’d like to help cover their costs for them while they are forced to close, so they can come back and continue their great feats.

Here's why they deserve our help...

Jessy Brethour, owner of Meatheads, has always supported his community and provided any service he could to front line workers. Instead of worrying about how this virus would affect him and his business, he thought about what he could do to lend a hand. Jessy and his team have provided thousands of dollars in donations to feed hospital staff at the general campus and the Monfort.

His first donation of 200 meals to the General Hospital inspired an influx of community support that now allows Dr. Kwadwo Kyeremanteng to hire local, independently owned restaurants to cater to the hospital staff. This initiative increased hospital morale tremendously and has kept frontline workers fed, so they can take care of our loved ones.

Jessy heard about a local produce company that was on the brink of closing its doors due to COVID-19. Jessy reached out to the owner, set up a Facebook page to sell to their customers directly, and even went to the warehouse to do a live Facebook video that has kept the company afloat while helping concerned people stay out of crowded grocery stores.

That’s not all...

Jessy and his staff at Meatheads Grill donated more than a thousand dollars in Easter treats to the Caldwell Community Housing Center to help low income families.

The MeatHeads team hand delivered more than 75 meals to theSalvation Army  men's shelter, Home Depot Staff, and other businesses alike. Just to show them how much they were appreciated.

To top it off, Jessy is constantly eating at independently owned businesses and leaving amazing reviews for them on the Meatheads page, so they benefit from exposure through his followers. He's constantly trying to help and support other people in an effort to give back to his customers and community.

Meatheads Grill hasn't been open very long and doesn't have the resources to sustain a shut down for 2 weeks. It is heartbreaking that they have to temporarily close their doors due to a confirmed case of COVID-19 and I don’t want it to be permanent. After everything Jessy and Meatheads has done to raise morale and help people affected by this horrible virus, it would be even more heartbreaking to watch this business fall to COVID as well.

Jessy is a COVID-19 hero and was recognized by UpperDeck Sports as such. Let’s all chip in so this amazing group of people can continue to support their community. Every little bit helps to keep this special business afloat because we don’t want to lose them.

Please help me help them.
