Support Kaleigh and her Newborn Recover After a House Fire
Local news article:
Our family is coming together to help my daughter and her precious seven-week-old baby after a devastating fire that caused major damage to her home. A home she purchased just six weeks before giving birth to her first child. (Click above link for news article)
A home is more than a building. It’s where a family builds memories, finds comfort, and begins its future. In the aftermath of this fire, Kaleigh’s home is uninhabitable and they are currently living in a hotel while trying to navigate the difficult road ahead.
As if the loss and disruption weren’t enough, the process has been challenging. She is facing delays and uncertainty when she needs answers, stability, and a safe place to care for her newborn. Meanwhile, expenses continue and the costs are adding up. They left their home with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
Our family is creating this fundraiser to help ease the immediate financial burden while she works through the insurance process and determines the next steps for her home.
Funds raised will help with
- Housing expenses not covered by insurance
- Clothing & essentials for Kaleigh and her baby
- Meals and daily necessities
- Baby supplies (diapers, gear and items left behind)
- Hairdressing and styling tools for Kaleigh’s hairdresser job
Depending on how the situation unfolds, the support may also help with other necessary costs as Kaleigh works toward returning home or finding suitable longer-term housing.
Kaleigh is strong but the situation is overwhelming. Our hope is to give some breathing room during an incredibly stressful time, so Kaleigh can focus on her son, her well-being, and rebuilding a sense of normalcy.
If you are able to donate, please know that every contribution, no matter the amount, will make a difference. If donating isn’t possible right now, sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, and community would mean so much.
Thank you for surrounding Kaleigh and her baby boy with love, generosity, and support. They have a long road ahead, and we are grateful for everyone helping them take the next step forward.
