Hello everyone,
Thank you so much for your support to increase the quality of life for this grandma. We had initially met her when I first started my journey in Korea. She was one of the first ones I’ve talked to. I saw her collecting cardboard at night time, and she told me about her life and the difficulty of taking care of her disabled 60 year old son as a 80 year old lady. Since then, we’ve helped her a financially and talked to her a couple more times. I had the privilege to join her and ask her questions about her life. One wish she had was that the pain in her back and knees would go away. That was her only wish so that she can continue to take care of her son until she passes away. I personally visited her doctor to learn more about her knees and back. They are at a point where surgery is not possible but suggested injections to improve strength and support. We've paid for 6 months of her treatment before I left Korea until I see her again. I would be able to figure out whether she is improving on those treatments. If so, we can help her continue. If not, I will try to find her an alternative. Thank you so much for all your support!
