Hello, my name is Alicia, and I am trying to raise money for my Parents.

Currently, my Dad is in the ICU, hooked up to a ventilator, fighting for his life. I’ve watched him go through so much—two recent leg amputations, heart failure, cancer, and countless hospital stays. Through every battle, he has somehow always found the strength to keep going. But now, I believe this is his toughest battle yet.

My Mom, who has been the main breadwinner since my Dad became disabled, is torn between going to work to make ends meet and staying by his side, praying for him to wake up and be okay again. The weight of worrying about finances while watching her husband in such a fragile state has taken a toll on her, both mentally and physically.

Before my Dad was hospitalized, he was in the process of getting prosthetics for both legs, hoping to get them by the end of the year so insurance would cover the cost. If he doesn’t get them in time, we’ll be faced with thousands of dollars out of pocket. I’m afraid that by the time he gets out, he won’t be able to get them on time.

This is the worst his condition has ever been. I’ve seen him face every health challenge imaginable, but he’s never been asleep this long, and never on a ventilator. We are all by his side every day, trying to hold each other up through this difficult time.

I don’t usually ask for help, but we are truly at a breaking point. My Parents are the strongest, sweetest people I know, and they don’t deserve all the pain and hardships they’re facing. Any financial relief would put my Mom at ease for the time being and when my Dad wakes up and is fully alert again, I know it would mean so much to him to know that we had help getting through this.
