My name is Adelle Blair. I own a small cleaning business in Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada. My husband and stepson are from Black River, Sandy Ground, Crawford, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, where our family still lives today.

When Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 storm, tore through Jamaica, our community in St. Elizabeth was left in ruins. Entire homes were ripped apart. Families lost everything, food, shelter, clothing, and so much more.

Although we now live in Canada, our hearts and our roots remain in St. Elizabeth. The devastation and heartbreak are beyond words.

We are raising immediate relief funds to help rebuild and restore our community in Black River, Crawford, and Sandy Ground. The goal is to provide:
• Emergency shelter – tarps, lumber, and basic materials to cover damaged homes.
• Food and clean water – groceries, cooking supplies, and bottled water.
• Clothing and bedding – sheets, blankets, and essentials for children and seniors.
• Cleaning and sanitation supplies – disinfectants, tools, and hygiene kits to prevent illness after flooding.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward restoring hope, dignity, and stability to families who have lost everything.

We will personally oversee distribution through trusted local volunteers and community leaders.
Regular updates, including photos, videos, and receipts, will be posted, allowing donors to see exactly how their support is rebuilding lives.

The people of St Elizabeth are strong and proud, but no one can recover from a storm like this alone.

Please help us bring hope back to our community.
Your kindness today means a family will have shelter and food tomorrow, and our parish will begin to rise again.

Together, we can rebuild St. Elizabeth one home, one heart at a time.
