As a grandparent, I am realizing the unexpected expenses that my daughter and son-in-law will soon face. An experience Anthony and i had with our own daughter "Shayla" and Jazmyn's older sister. Already this journey has reminded our family's turmoil of the past. We know the emotional, physical, and financial burdens that will soon be upon Jazmyn and David.
For those of you who do not know what's happed. Yesterday afternoon our Grandson Jesus Isreal Lopez Jr had a seizure. He quickly ran up a temperature of 107. Jr was rushed to the Pueblo emergency room by ambulance. David and Jazmyn quickly left work hoping to see their son Jr. Unfortunately, they were held outside of the emergency room because Jr was unresponsive! During the time Jr was not able to breath on his own. Therefore, the decision was made by the doctor to put him on a ventilator. Next they focused ton bringing Junior's fever down, hoping the seizures would stop! Next the doctors medicated him to try to calm the seizures down. Doctors realized, "it wasn’t working fast enough!" Arrangements were quickly made to transport Jr by helicopter from a Pueblo hospital to the children’s hospital in Springs. Upon arrival a team of nurses were waiting to get our Jr settled into ICU.
Once again the doctors began to run more test. Thank you Lord! They didn’t find anything wrong with his brain! Losing our daughter to brain cancer was a journey we did not want to repeat with our JR.
As grandparents, you never want to see your children have to suffer along with your Grandbaby. I'm praying and believing they will soon get a break or some kind of relief!
We are happy to say that Junior did not test positive for covid or for RSV. However, he did test positive for a double ear infection. Another round of medication was given to him to continue to keep his fever down along with antibiotics. Wrapping Jr in ice packs and cold towels was hard for my daughter and son-in-law to watch.. This morning his fever had broke and his breathing is solidified. Jr is now breathing on his own. Oxygen is still given to him for precaution. Our Grand baby is still unable to open his eyes! He has been responding by constantly crying due to an double ear infection that we know of. An ear infection which caused the fever in the first place then triggering seizures that his little body couldn’t handle. As of now our Jr is like an little MMA fighter! Rolling all over the bed like his in the ring! Fighting for relief. They still do not know what they can do to stop pain and discomfort. I will admit as a Grandmother, However, I feel helpless but maybe that's what God needs so that I do not rely on my own strength! Once again we will trust and believe in God almighty. You are the healer, the deliver, the comforter, the provider of all.
Financially I believe every need will be met! Help be a part of a Financial miracle in progress! God bless you in advance!
Your financial support we be greatly appreciated!
